Haryana Climate
The climate of Haryana is similar to other states of India lying in the
northern plains, arid to semi arid, with hot summers and cold winters.

Summer
May and June are the hottest months and can be really hot with
temperatures soaring to over 48°C

Monsoon
Being far away from the coasts and close to the Thar desert, Haryana does
not get the full share of the monsoon current seen mostly across central
and east India. It has an average rainfall of 455 mm. Around 70% of the
rainfall is received during the months from July to September. The maximum
rain hit area is Ambala with 47 inches per annum, but rainfall is sporadic in
other areas.

Winter
December and January are the coldest months. Temperatures are usually
around 14°C but can drop as low as 1°C. The second set of rains occurs
during December to February.
