| The srate of Bihar had one border crossing to Nepal at the town of Raxaul. This border crossing is the nearest crossing from Kolkata with a direct train connection. There is also a direct bus to the border from Patna. There are regular onward buses to Kathmandu and Pokhara from Birganj on the Nepali side.
