| Welcome to Travelstick! The aim of this site is to provide free, up-to-date information for budget traveling in Asia. We cover accomodation, sights, transport and everything else you need to know. We provide useful links to bus and train companies for accurate, up-to-date information for your bus and train journeys. All travel information included on this site is designed for low budget traveling. All accommodation and activities mentioned should be possible within this budget range. Prices given are mainly for the high season. During the low season prices for accommodation, tours and treks are often reduced. How much you pay often depends on how well you bargain. We will try, where possible, to give you some idea of how much you can expect to pay during these periods. When choosing which information to include, we have assumed that the travelers using this website do not want to be told exactly what to do and where to go. We try to avoid giving strong opinions and will not advise particular restaurants or hotels. Therefore, in our accommodation sections you will often find that we provide only one or two hotel names. This is not intented to direct you specifically to that hotel but merely indicates that there is an enormous choice of budget accommodation, usually all in one area and easy to find. In these cases, as everyone has different preferences, you will probably prefer just to look around and choose one for yourself. The one or two that we include are those that we know to be clean and well priced, just to get you started. In smaller places where accommodation is scarce we will try give a fuller coverage of all the options. If you find this site useful you can help us continue by writing in with updates, tips and other useful information. This is not a commercialised website, we just enjoy traveling like you. As you can see we have included some advertisements, but this is only to cover the costs. Travelstick will donate all profits to independent charity organisations. |

With a daily budget of 10 €, a cuisine with almost unlimited spices and herbs and accommodation with clean beds starting from 1.50 € a night. Nepal The birth place of Lord Buddha. Here the mountains really seem to reach the sky. With a travel budget of 10 € a day there are endless trekking opportunities. Dal Bhat will come out of your ears but a clean room will cost you 2 € a night. |
